The Idea of the construction of the tower goes back to
1997 when engineer Sven Heiner got this task from the previously existing Vestsjællands Business center to elaborate a proposal on the center building, which will be the part of the “Stop 39” project located along the highway to the south of Slagelse.
Nature, gateway, innovation and landmark were among the words which Sven used as an inspiration to shape and create an architecturally unique tower with an organic design, which should be a new center building. The roof
shape is inspired by a leaf with the stem facing downward, guiding the surface water to basins around the building.
The project was never realized.
In 2021 Sven brought new life to the project by establishing a enthusiastic working group with the objective to realize the tower project.
After several considerations regarding the project content, it was concluded that the tower would perfectly fit on a site near the payment facility for the Great Belt bridge, owned by the municipality of Slagelse and which is currently possible to acquire. This is a central location both nationally and internationally.
With such a location it would be natural to increase the height of the tower to utilize the beautiful views. Especially the view to Denmark’s largest building, The Great Belt Bridge and the view over the Great Belt will become one magnificent experience. It has therefore been decided that the tower, as a curiosity, will be half the height of the Great Belt Bridge pylons of 254 meters. This means that the Tower aims to be able to be built at a height of 127 metres.
